It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Styles at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Jim was born and raised in London, ON. A sheetmetal worker by trade, he moved with his wife and 8-month old son to Thunder Bay in 1976. Jim worked for over 35 years for Provincial Papers, retiring upon its closure to become a minnow and fur trapper which became his passion.

Left to mourn are his wife of 45 years, Chip [nee Chipchase]; sons Rick & Michael [Amanda]; grandchildren Kolton, Walker, Jacob, Damon & Legacy; brothers & sisters-in-law Jack & Elaine Chipchase, Exeter, ON, Bill & Pat Chipchase, Clinton, ON; nieces & nephews Jeff & Cindy Chipchase, Angela Chipchase, Shawn Chipchase [Jackie], Chad & Brigitte Chipchase.

Jim was predeceased by his parents Bud & Marion Styles, London, ON and in-laws Ernie & Olga Chipchase, Hensall, ON.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Arrangements are in care of the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Memorial donations to Knox United Church, 1 Shuniah St., Thunder Bay, ON P7A 2Y7 or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
