Mrs. Janet Marie Comuzzi (nee Casgrain), age 81 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2014.
Janet was born in Windsor, Ontario on October 22, 1933 and had resided in Thunder Bay for the last 60 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family at East Loon Lake and at her home in Florida.
She was a lifelong member of the Hospital Auxiliaries Association of Ontario, President from 1984-86; and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 40 years. Janet was the beloved wife of Joseph Comuzzi, cherished mother of Deborah Comuzzi (Lorne Firman), James Comuzzi (Jennifer Fairbairn), Mary-Catherine Laforet, and Elizabeth Comuzzi; loving grandmother of Mary Brooks (Andy), Mark Bezzina, Kelsey Comuzzi, Joseph, Marcon, and Alexandra Laforet, and Victoria and Stephanie Turnbull; special aunt to George Comuzzi and Judy Quigley, and sister-in-law and friend to Catherine Comuzzi.
She was predeceased by her parents Bernadette and Marcon Casgrain, sister Bettie Mills and mother-in-law Yolanda Comuzzi. A private family Funeral Mass and entombment have already taken place.
A special thanks to the grandchildren who acted as pallbearers.
