Janet Marie Stewart (nee MacKay)

Janet Marie Stewart (nee MacKay), born on July 11, 1959 in Galt, ON, passed away unexpectedly in Ottawa, ON on October 12, 2021. She will be deeply missed by daughter and best friend, Ellen Boyanowski, her brother, Michael MacKay (Barb Banning), as well as her extended family and many friends. Janet was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Stewart, and her parents, Russ MacKay and Evelyn Watson.

Janet retired from the Public Service of Canada in 2019, but her true enjoyment came from spending time with friends and family. She loved camping and hosting get-togethers, including the annual corn roast and bon fire; a tradition she started with her husband. With her generous nature and outgoing, bubbly personality, Janet was often the life of the party and had fun wherever she went. Janet also loved traveling with her daughter and had the opportunity to visit several countries in Europe, as well as Argentina.

At the request of the family, no funeral or memorial service is planned. Instead of flowers, Janet would want you to express your love to those you value.
