Janette Bernard

We are saddened to announce that Janette L. Bernard passed peacefully with family at her side on October 10, 2018 at TBRHSC. 

Janette was born in Fort William, ON on September 10th, 1968. She lived in Gull Bay through out her youth and had attended Mount St. Joseph’s in Sault Marie ON and Port Arthur Collegiate Institute in Thunder Bay. Moving to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto, Janette had completed her Bachelor of Criminology and continued her formal education at Queen’s University in Kingston where she had received her Degree in Law. 

Relocating back home in Thunder Bay to be closer to family and friends. Janette enjoyed reading, traveling and camping as well as music. 

Janette is survived by her family members, Mom Irene (Ralph), sisters Christie Ann (Derek), Brenda (Jordan) and brothers Kevin, Henry (Eunice) and Bradley and numerous nieces Tamara (Nathan), Courtney (Jeff), Alora, Natasha, Davina, Lily, Araya and nephews Travis, Darien, Andrew and Aidan. Great nieces and nephews, Nia and Trey. Predeceased by Grandparents Sam and Jane Bernard and brother Craig.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Larry Kroker s.j. presiding. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
