Mr. Jean Marie LeClerc (Coco) passed away in Pinewood Court on Thursday, March 4, 2010.

Jean was born in Quebec and at the early age of 15, he made his way to Ontario. He worked for many years in the woodlands harvesting wood for various companies. Later, Jean was given the opportunity to obtain a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship and received his License. He worked for Domtar Forest Products for several years and resided in Beardmore. He was also very active in the mining industry and held a Prospector’s License, prospecting the Beardmore and Geraldton Gold Belt Region.

Jean entertained many of his friends and family with his stories, jokes, card tricks, and made many people smile and laugh. He will be sorely missed by all.

Jean is survived by his wife, Doreen LeClerc; children: Jacquline and family, Yvonne and family; Jean and wife Lynne and family, Leo and wife Sandra and family, Arthur and family, Joey and wife Janice and family, Judy and family, Debbie and family, Leona and husband Bob and family, and Celine Belleau. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

To respect Jean’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. He wanted everyone to remember the good times with him, and did not want to bring sadness to anyone.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation – Northern Cancer Fund, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
