It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Jean Pervais announce her passing on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Care Group after a long battle against pancreatic cancer, at the age of 68.
Jean was born March 24, 1947 in Holden, Alberta to parents Leon and Gladys Hladio. She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her family and friends. She sat on numerous committees. She always had a smile and a kind word for all, she was always there with compassion and a positive nature. She loved and cared for each and every member in her community, she took pride in her work family, and each one held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her husband Richard (Sid), brother Douglas (Liz), In-laws Ruth, Elizabeth, Myles (Anne Ellen), Melvin, Pat, and sons Samuel (Sam), Len Sr. (Nicole). Grandchildren Leonard Jr., Jacob, Cameron, Douglas, and Kaylee, and great granddaughter Naomi, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Leon and Gladys Hladio, in-laws Samuel and Margaret Pervais, and brother-in-laws Michael and Arthur and sister-in-law Christie (Thurston).
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00am, at St. Anne's Mission Church celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker s.j.
Prayers will be offered Friday, March 27, 2015 at 7:00pm at St. Anne's Church. If friends desire, memorials to the Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
