Mrs. Jeanette Margaret Trylinski (Kulik), age 78 years, a resident of Chartwell Select in Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hospice Unit, on August 8, 2015 with family by her side.

Jeanette was born in Winnipeg, MB, on July 20, 1937 to William and Natalie Kulik.  She resided in Winnipeg until 1955 when she met and fell in love with dad, Albert Trylinski.  In 1956 they married and moved to Thunder Bay.

As a new bride and for the next 20 years Jeanette worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, various grocery stores and the lotto shop at County Fair.  One of her greatest accomplishments was in midlife, she returned to Confederation College and completed a Business Course.  During this time she picked up the nickname “redo” and a number of scholastic awards.

Once graduated, she was hired on at the Thunder Bay District Jail in the records department where she worked until she retired as the Records Supervisor.  She got a kick out of telling people she spent 20 years in jail.

Jeanette was a people person with a great sense of humour who could be counted on for at least one dirty joke.  Did you hear the one about……..?

Jeanette was an avid reader who would rather read than sleep.  Mom did a lot of camping, fishing and hunting as dad’s chief cook and bottle washer.  Every summer was spent camping and travelling across the country visiting family and friends.  Later in life mom and dad enjoyed several trips to Europe and their winters in BC.

Mom and dad lived on Carl Avenue for the first 30 years of marriage.  After retirement they built their dream home in the country where mom became an active volunteer at North McIntyre Recreation Centre.  Many a day was spent making perogies and helping out at events.

Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her children Stephanie (Brian) Turick, Joanne (Jeffrey) Lent, William Trylinski; grandchildren Hayley (Jason) Scott, Clayton (Jenelle) Lent, Sarah (James) Joly, Amber Trylinski;  great grandchildren Austin Lynch, Emily Scott, Jeweliana Scott, Jamie Joly, Lylah Joly, Bentley Kuper;  sisters Delores (Vit) Taliunas and Leslie (John) Madunic.  Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jeanette was predeceased by her husband Albert Trylinski in 2006, parents William & Natalie Kulik, daughter-in-law Kelly Trylinski in 2010.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla, V.G. of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  Inurnment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanette’s memory to the Northern Cancer Fund.
