Jeffrey Edwin James passed away peacefully on September 2, 2017 at Hogarth Riverview Manor.

Jeff was born in Kingston, Ontario and raised in Napanee where he met his wife Sandy (Simpson) of 43 years. Jeff and Sandy relocated to North Bay before settling in Thunder Bay, where they raised their two boys Pat and Shawn. Jeff worked for HD Lee in Napanee/North Bay, then found employment in Thunder Bay at the Airport as a fire fighter with the MTO. Jeff was heavily involved with minor sports in the city, while his boys were growing up, and continued to coach and manage minor hockey with his good friend Jason Bodnar, while his health permitted long after his boys had finished playing.

Jeff is survived by his wife Sandy, their sons Pat (Erin), Shawn (Morgan) and grandsons Sheldon, Carter, Kash and Kysan. Predeceased by his parents Des and Dorothy, In-laws Ken and Edith Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, should family and friends so desire, donations in memory of Jeff may be made to St. Joseph's Care Group or the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place and as per Jeff's wishes, there will be no service. Arrangements have be entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
