With heavy hearts, the family of Jennie Dixon, age 92, wish to announce her passing on Feb. 8, 2011, in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Jennie was born in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania and moved to FortWilliam along with her family at an early age. She worked as a Custodian for the LakeheadPublic School for more than 30 years before retiring. 

Survived by her daughter Ethel (Bob) McKee, Fort Frances; grandson Jamie McKee (Liz); 5 great grandchildren; brother Bill Iazzani (Ellen); sister Nat Miller and Jennie Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband Bob; son Ray Scott; grandsons Robbie and Walter McKee; parents, Angelina and Peter Temperio, step father, Velino Iazzani; brother Tony Iazzani; and sisters Mary Warder, Anne Bottos, Dora Kunze, Teresa Balabuck and Rita Atwood. 

A most sincere thank you goes out to Jennie’s sister Nat for her many years of loving devotion and companionship. 

Thank you also to all her nieghbours and friends for their frequent visits and assistance over the years  As per Jennie’s wishes,
cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. 

A private, family interment will be held at a later date.  If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

  A tree will be planted in memory of Jennie Dixon in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 10, 2012.
