Mrs. Jennie Primrose, age 77 years, passed away peacefully in hospital with family by her side on Thursday, March 17, 2011.

Jennie was born on April 2, 1933 in Port Arthur, Ontario. She raised her family as a stay at home mother and held various jobs after her children left home. Jennie enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles in her spare time. Her home and family were her main interests and focus in life.

Survived by her children Frank Primrose, Bertha Plumpton (Frank), Shirley Karasiewicz (Mike), Billy Plumpton (Emily), Linda Wyrozub (Morris), Tommy Plumpton, Jamie Fenerty (Jeff), Roseann Plumpton, Michael Plumpton (Tracy), Elsie Plumpton (Philip), Raymond DeCorte (Sherry) and George DeCorte (Tammy); 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers Bill Rummerfield (Shirley) and Terry Laidler (Bev) as well as her special friends Jim Holborn and step-daughter Ruth-Ann Bourque and George DeCorte, Sr.

Predeceased by her mother Mary Laidler; father William Rummerfield; Bill Plumpton; Joe Laidler; sister Edith Clapp; brother Arthur Rummerfield and grandson Robert Karasiewicz.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Jennie Primrose will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Westfort Chapel, 420 Gore St. West at James with the Venerable Archdeacon Mark Conliffe officiating. Interment to follow in Mountainview Cemetery.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Jennie to the Hospital for Sick Kids or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
