Mr. Jerome (Jerry) Faubert age 82 years, a resident of Hogarth Riverview Manor of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully on September 6, 2015.
Jerry, a true Northern Ontario adventurer was born in Port Arthur, Ontario and spent the majority of his time raising a family and establishing a career in Geraldton and Thunder Bay, Ontario. Jerry managed the Beaver Lumber Store in Geraldton from 1963 to 1974 and was an active member of the community involved in numerous community business and volunteer groups. Moving to Thunder Bay in 1977 after spending three years in Killarney, Manitoba he became owner and partner in the Chimo Building Supply Company until 1988 where he then worked for Sears of Canada in the hardware department where he retired.
Jerry an avid fisherman, hunter, woodworker and sportsman loved the outdoors and everything the North represented.
Jerry was predeceased by his wife Dawn Francis Faubert in 2004. He will be sadly missed/lovingly remembered by his partner Cecile, children Barry, Dale (spouse Jeannie), Russell (spouse Rhoda), Shawn (spouse Kristen), grandchildren Ryan, Skye, Evan, Carrie, Shannon and Erik, brothers Michael, (spouse Molly), Pat(spouse Fran), Raymond (spouse Jeanette), Rodney and sister Theresa (spouse Jim).
Funeral Services for the late Jerome Faubert will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 N. Cumberland Street, presided by Rev. Chris Harper. Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to service time. If friends so desire, donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Jerome's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army.
