Mr. Jerome Francis McWatch, age 71 years, passed away peacefully in Toronto General Hospital on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, with his family by his side.

Jerome was born in Chapleau, Ontario on May 10, 1950. He worked various jobs as a Truck Driver and Guide, making many friends along the way. Jerome enjoyed the outdoors, especially moose hunting and fishing. Above all else, his greatest passion was his family and he truly looked forward to spending time with all of them. He was a devout Catholic and his beliefs were evident by those who knew him. Jerome was a kind, caring man who would help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.

Jerome is survived by his wife of 35 years, Christine (nee Jack); children Stephanie (Donald Green), Byron (Margie Giba), Lisa (Phil Hall) and Jerome Jr.; grandchildren Justin, Rhiannon, Brandon, Bailey, Bianca, Owen, Devon, Madeline, Alexis, Jeromey, Ralphie, Kailyn and Kane as well as several great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his two sisters, Noelle (Richard) Hamilton and Maureen McWatch and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Mary (nee Wissian) McWatch; brothers Milton, Patrick, Gordon, Leonard, Philip and sister Myrtle.

Funeral Services for the late Jerome McWatch will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 2:00pm, in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the Westfort Chapel.

As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, COVID protocols are still being applied in group settings. Proof of full vaccination with identification is mandatory, a record of attendance must be maintained and wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is required for those attending the services.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Jerome to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
