Jerzy Franciszek Cieslik

It is with profound sadness, in his 78th year, that we announce the passing of Mr. Jerzy Franciszek Cieslik, on Monday April 12th 2021, in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Jerzy was born in Poland on December 14th 1942. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1980. He worked many jobs until his last job at Bombardier whom he was with until he retired. Jerzy was a skilled master carpenter and could fix anything whether it needed it or not. He always had a renovation on the go, always kept himself busy, always willing to help others.

Jerzy was predeceased by his wife Alina Cieslik in 1994 and his son Robert Cieslik in 2013.

Jerzy is survived by his daughters Dagmara (Mike), Shirley, granddaughters Zenobia, Ania and Amanda, and Sister Mary and many other family members in Poland.

Jerzy will be missed beyond words. He was so caring and loved watching his youngest granddaughter playing in the back yard. He always had a treat to hand out to the kids. We will miss his stories from the “old country” and his warm smile. Rest in peace dear dad, you will be forever in our hearts.

Due to the circumstances, there will be a small private service.
