Jesse Thompson, age 6 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with his parents by his side.

Jesse accomplished many great things in the short time he was placed on this earth. From the day he was born, his nickname was “Bruce” aka Batman. The medical team knew that if this baby makes it, he would be the most expensive human to keep alive! He became an Ambassador for London’s Children’s Hospital and has left a mark with everyone who met him. Jesse and his family went on a fun road trip to Toronto where he enjoyed visiting family, the zoo and going to the Ripley’s Aquarium.

Despite all the medical things Jesse had to go through in his life, he was a very happy boy and still smiled daily. Jesse’s greatest joys in life started right from when he was an infant, Jesse enjoyed swimming, music, playing with all his friends and going to daycare at Little Lions Kingsway and attending school at Algonquin. Jesse also enjoyed his short time spent at camp over the summer and going for boat rides.

Jesse will be greatly missed by his parents, Rory and Shubha Thompson; brother, Owen; grandparents, Meera Pandit and Cheryl and Bob Thompson; auntie Katey; great-grandma Marie, his extended family, friends and cousins, teachers, nurses/doctors, and bus driver.

Thank You to Katie Burton and her team, Thunder Bay Pediatrics, TBRHSC and London Children’s Hospital, all of the nurses who have worked with Jesse, Algonquin School, the Haywood family, the Goodman family, Little Lions Kingsway, Ronald McDonald House of South Western Ontario, George Jeffrey Children Centre and all our family and friends who have visited and supported us during this difficult time. A special Thank You to Owen, Grammy Meera, Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Bob for showing him unconditional love and helping to take care of him
