It is with a heavy heart that the family of Jewel Georgeia Scott, nee (Chadwell), 80 years, of Terrace Bay, ON. announces her sudden passing on Tues Oct. 25 surrounded by love and friendship after a brief battle with cancer at McCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay, ON.

Mom was born Sept. 15. 1936 in Fort William, ON. She grew up in Geraldton, ON. Moving to Terrace Bay, ON in 1965 with her husband and two children.

She worked many years as a secretary first for Dr. Mike McCausland and then onto Lake Superior High School where she eventually retired. Mom loved life, lived it to it's fullest every day and met it head on. She always had a ready smile and a distinctive laugh that everyone knew.

An active member of the local Seniors Centre, Red Hats, Bridge Group and other community groups.

Mom spent 2 full summers in her late 70's riding the back of a Harley Davidson's with her special friend Walter Sitko. She was so proud when she redid her driver's licence for her 80th year. She loved to garden and putter in her yard. Most of all she loved her family and felt so much joy and pride watching her grandchildren grow up.

Jewel will be greatly missed by her daughters Beth Scott, Sue (Randy) Mercure, grandchildren Scott and Courtney Mercure all of Terrace Bay¸ ON. sister Patricia (Rudy) Lewkoski of Midland, ON and her nephews Randy (Mary Alice), Lewkoski, Dan (Jeanne) Lewkoski and Ken (Janice) Lewkoski.

Predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Scott, 2006. and her parents Mary and Arthur Chadwell. I miss you mom, my heart is broken. I will forever hold you in my heart until we meet again.

As per her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service was held on Friday Nov. 4th.
