It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Dickson on Tuesday April 10th, 2018 at the age of 77. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 23, 1940, Jim was a longtime resident of Thunder Bay since moving here with his family as a teenager in 1956. Jim retired in 1995 after over 35 years working as a trainman and conductor with Canadian Pacific Railway.

He was very active in retirement playing golf and volunteering with various charitable organizations. Jim was an active member of St. Agnes Church and was involved with Knights of Columbus for many years including several years in the role as their Grand Knight. He was outgoing and easy to like and his generous spirit touched the lives of many. Jim had a kind heart and loved his family very much.

Jim is survived by son Jim (Heather) and grandchildren Tara and Tyler of Campbell River, BC, daughter Terri of Dubai, brother Charles (Lorette) of Victoria and sister Marsha as well as niece and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Dianne, parents James and Cora, in-laws Mike and Irene Cwiak, twins at birth and brother in-law Colin Honeysett.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27th, 2018 at 12:10 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Father James Panikulam officiating. Luncheon to follow in the church hall. Private family interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Donations to St. Agnes building fund would be appreciated.

James Dickson will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
