It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother Joe Cupelli at the age of 59.
Predeceased by his parents, Filomena and Antonio, loving brother of Lisa (Lou), Santo (predeceased by Brenda), Frank (Kim), Mario (Rosaria), and Mirella (Josh). Joe will be missed deeply and remembered fondly by his beloved nieces and nephews: Michelle (Jorge), Andrea, David (Barbara), Marco, Adam (Madison), Samuel, Ben, Mitchell and Katelyn; his companion Irma, Irma’s daughter Krista (Tyler) and Pappy’s special little friend Landon. He will also be missed by a large number of close friends and relatives whom he held very dear.
Joe had a wonderful sense of humour. He enjoyed making people laugh, especially with his quick-witted play on words and his clever puns.
He was a champion Jeopardy enthusiast and was always able to answer some of the most challenging questions.
Joe loved the outdoors. He spent countless evenings around a warm crackling fire and especially enjoyed casting a rod into Lake Superior.
Joe was a kind and compassionate man whose deep love for family and friends, near and far, was widely known.
He had a kind heart and would give selflessly of himself if it meant he could help. Joe and his gentle spirit will be forever missed, loved and cherished by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Funeral services will take place at Jenkens Funeral Home at 226 Syndicate Ave S. on Thursday, September 22 at 12:30 p.m. An Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
