Dale Penko

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of (John) Dale Penko on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Lovingly known as “Crash” to family and friends and “Chi Gwiiwizens” (Big Boy) by his partner’s family. He was a proud father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Words cannot begin to describe the loss in our hearts.

Dale is survived by his son Richard (Natasha) and daughter Kelsey (Bryan) and his grandsons Ben and Oliver, his partner of 8 years Debbie Twance, her children Jon (Dawna) granddaughter Bailey, Kaleb and Kasey Dias, in-laws Cecil and Lavina Twance, and his siblings Darren (Lexie, Maddie, Billie), sister-in-law Marie, Anne (Ed) (Kyle, Samantha, Meghan) and Aimee (Joe). He is predeceased by his mother Georgina and father John Penko.

Dale was someone that would be there for anyone, no matter what. You could always find him tinkering on a car, motorcycle or anything with an engine. He had found a passion for travelling in recent years which opened up his world. Dale’s family and work meant everything to him, you never knew what he would do, crash a family gathering, save you in your time of need or just always be the best possible person he could be. He was wildly opinionated, had a wonderful sense of humour and was deeply loyal to his loved ones. Dale was an amazing person with a heart of gold; the world is less without him.

A private ceremony has been arranged by the family.
