Mr. John Joseph Drindak passed away suddenly at home on Friday, January 22, 2010, at the age of 82 years. John was born and raised in Thunder Bay. He was a well-known business man who began his business, Central Plumbing, in 1961. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus. John was a dedicated family man. In his younger years he was an avid fisherman and continued this tradition with his grandchildren. John was a man of God who cherished his religion. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Kristina Drindak, sisters Mary, Ann, Helen and Cecile and brother Peter. He leaves to mourn his wife Helen, his soul mate of 60 years, son Dave (Sandy), daughter Darlene (Jim) Sekora of Red Deer, Alberta and grandchildren John & Alexa and Jessica & Kristen, brother, Joe and many nieces and nephews. A private funeral mass was held at St. Casimir’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 celebrated by Rev. Andrew Deptula. Interment was held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials to St. Casimir’s Church would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of John Drindak in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2011.
