Mr. Joseph Brendza, born January 20, 1929 in Czechoslovakia, passed away January 29, 2015 in Thunder Bay.
Beloved father of Anna of Thunder Bay, Mary (Marko) Djarmotsky of Windsor, and Joseph of Thunder Bay, Dzedo to Robert (Melissa) Girardin and Tibor Djarmotsky.
Great Grandpa to Abagail and Gabrielle Girardin. Joe worked at the CPR for 42 years. He is predeceased by his wife Mary in 1955, his parents Frank and Anna, and brother Frank. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00am, at St. Peter's Church celebrated by Rev. Terry Sawchuk. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Prayers will be offered Monday, February 2, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, February 2 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel. If friends desire, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Joseph Brendza will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
