Joseph Philip Tremblay (Phil) passed away on Feb. 25, 2024 at 91 years old after a brief illness in his hometown of Thunder Bay. He is survived by his wife Audrey of 68 years and three children- Marsha (Barry Woit), Sherry (Chris Walsh) and Philip (Elsie Plumpton).  He was predeceased by his parent’s Lionel and Marie of Graham Ontario and left behind 7 grandchildren Kylee, Jordan, Kailan, Jenna, Dallas, Katie and Devin along with 14 great grandchildren.

Phil loved to read to kept abreast of many controversial issues both local and national.  In the early years, many hours were spent at the family camp in Graham, which is still enjoyed by the next generation of Tremblay’s. He loved to putter around in his garage and never threw anything away.

Phil worked at Lakehead Motors for many years and in later in life he started his own business, Color-Renu and ended his working career as a school bus driver-  known as Mr. BD (bus driver)to the kids.  He loved the outdoors and spoke very often of prospecting in Northern Ontario and staking a claim. Phil kept busy in retirement repairing equipment for local NDT companies.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the homecare nurses, especially Crystal and Justin for their loving care.

In accordance to his wishes, cremation has occurred and a private celebration of life will be held in the spring.
