Josie Kwandibens, age 73 years passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Josie loved spending time with her grand and great- grandchildren; she loved sewing and listening to gospel music. Josie graduated Native Language Studies at Lakehead University despite not having a formal education. Grace place was an immense fulfillment to her faith.
Lovingly remembered by her husband Peter Kwandibens, by her children; Barbara, Veronica, Jonathan, Arlene, Peter Jr., and Elaine; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, sister Margaret Wilson, brothers Joseph and George Spade, families from Collins, Whitesand and Fort Hope, numerous friends in faith and culture. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Wabano, brothers Tom, Chris and Richard and by her grandson Kevin Spade.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Armstrong Faith Chapel, Armstrong, Ontario with Clinton Saito presiding with a guest speaker Peter Spade.
