Judy Soave

Judy Ann Manduca Soave was reunited with her true love, her soulmate Vincenzo Soave on February 24, 2021.

She was predeceased by her parents May Manduca (Pert), James Manduca, sister Linda and numerous other relatives. Judy is survived by brothers Jim Manduca (Erika), Ron Manduca (Kate) and her loving children Carlo Soave (Patricia), Marlo Soave (Andrew), grandchildren Jamie (Melissa), Nicholas (Stephanie), Elizabeth and great grandsons Colby, Colton and Darryl and many other family.

Judy’s first few jobs included waitressing at Woolworth in her teen years, then the Venice Grill, a jewelry store and last but not least McKellar Hospital in good ole Fort William where she born and raised. For over 30 years she enjoyed working as an Emergency secretary (it was her favorite department) she made wonderful friends over the years, it was her second family. But Judy’s true passion was her family. Whether it was going for walks, fishing in the east end (sitting on a bench with coffee and watching everyone else). She enjoyed her alone time with her husband, going for walks hand in hand at the Marina or dropping a few coins into the slots. Where ever she was you knew she was having a good time. She was a strong, loving woman who always spoke her mind whether you wanted to hear it or not (always out of love) and she could put a sailor to shame with her swears. She would be the one who said things we were all thinking but didn’t say out loud. If ever on Facebook in the middle of the night you could always count on Judy for someone to talk to or ever share a good dirty joke. Her sense of humor often entertained everyone around but was not always for the easily offended. She was legendary in our family for making you laugh and for being on standby for a good game of Wizard to shake things up. Life was never dull around her. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

A big thank you to the staff in Emergency as well to the Clergy of Corpus Christi. A special thank you to Cathy, hugs, and to Sharon for always being there.
