It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Judy Organ on August 5, 2021 at the age of 72 at home in Thunder Bay with her family by her side.

Loving wife, best friend and life partner to Jim for 57 years. Devoted mom and best friend to Leeann and Jennifer. Loving Grandma to Arwyn and Neven. Cherished daughter to the late Dorothy and stepfather Bill Pope and daughter in-law to the late Virginia and Bill Organ. Dear sister of Peter Markotjohn (Martha). Special sister and sister-in-law to the Organ and Pope families. Loved aunt, niece and cousin.

Judy grew up in Cambridge where she met Jim at age 15. They spent many weekends with family and friends on the waters of Georgian Bay and Lake Eugenia. In 1990, Owen Sound became home. She was devoted to her grandchildren, later moving to Thunder Bay playing an instrumental role in their life.

She loved walking Sauble Beach and riding her bike. She led an active lifestyle often walking with friends, swimming, cross-country skiing and roller-skating. She enjoyed entertaining and playing games. Judy cherished her special friends.

She exemplified strength, courage and perseverance throughout her life. Her smile and infectious laugh are unforgettable. When we reminisce of our time together, we remember the funny things she said and did. She left a legacy of love and parts of her will carry on in all of us.

Due to Covid limitations, no service will be held at this time. If desired, a donation to Lung Cancer Canada for research in non-smokers is appreciated.
