It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Pellizzari, age 80, announce her peaceful passing on Monday, April 11th, 2022 at Pioneer Ridge with her family by her side.

Judy was born June 11th, 1941 in Sudbury Ontario. She married the love of her life, Aldo in 1960 and spent 54 happy years together. She had an enjoyable career in the jewelry business, working at both McCartney & People’s Jewellers for over 30 years. Upon their retirement, Judy & Aldo loved to travel. They spent many winters in Apache Junction, Arizona, where they would make frequent trips to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed short trips to Duluth and Grand Portage, where she loved to play keno. Judy was a social and charismatic person who had a heart of gold. She loved to dance, laugh and get together with friends for coffee or an evening of card games. Judy was a devout Catholic and member of the Catholic Women’s League for many years. Family was her pride and joy, as she treasured the many gatherings and milestones. Her radiant smile would light up any room! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Judy is survived by her son Richard (Karen) Pellizzari, brother Roy Gridzak, son-in-law Dwayne Manaigre, grandchildren Jennifer (Sean) Pinelli, Jonathan Manaigre, Katelyn (Adam) Methot & Ryan Pellizzari. She was predeceased by her husband Aldo Pellizzari, daughter Debra Manaigre, parents Ann and Joseph Gridzak & parents in-law Antonio & Zita Pellizzari.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at 9:30am on Friday April 22nd, 2022 at St. Dominic church, with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00am.

A private family interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date. Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of those involved in Judy’s care. Special thanks to Dr. Jason Shack and Rose Williams, who meant so much to her. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society & the Northern Cancer Research Fund would be greatly appreciated.
