It is with profound sadness that we announce on October 18, 2021 the passing of our beloved mother, and grandmother June Evelyn Claydon.

Born and educated in British Columbia. She graduated from Kings Business College. Employed at Pigeon Timber Company as secretary until her marriage to Ronald Claydon. In later years, she was employed by the Lakehead Board of Education. A member of St Michael’s Anglican Church, and former member of Topaz Rebekah Lodge. June enjoyed bowling, curling ,crafts, gardening and enjoyed her time in later years volunteering at the 55 plus Centre.

Predeceased by her husband Ronald and parents Frank and Winnifred Thompson, brother-in-law Bill Parks.June is survived by her son Robert (Nanda) Claydon. Daughter Diane (Dale) Kuran. Cherished grandchildren Sarah (Cam) Farquharson, and Steven Kuran. June is also survived by her sister Alleyne Parks, Florance Wellander and brother Frank and their families. Also, relatives in Canada and the United States.

We hold in our hearts an enormous amount of gratitude to the 4th floor staff of St Joseph Hospital for your amazing care of our mother and grandmother. Especially Dr Feldstein, we are so thankful for all you did.

As requested by June cremation has taken place with interment of ashes to follow in 2022 at St Michael’s Garden of Remembrance with a private family service. Memorial gifts may be made in June's memory to St. Joseph's Foundation, Hospice Unit. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
