On Sunday, March 12, 2023, June Rose Pagnotta (nee Russell), 80 years of age, passed away peacefully in her home. June was born August, 11,1942 to Maximilian and Hazel Russell in Port Arthur, Ontario.
June spent her days raising her daughter's with her husband in Thunder Bay. They opened their family business, London Variety, where she enjoyed the daily encounters of the customers who were like family to them for 25 years. After the passing of her husband and daughter, she carried on their memory by making gnocchi and tomato sauce annually with family, while watching the butterflies in the yard; as well as seeing new and old faces for 26 years with London Fireworks until recently.
She is survived by her daughter's Susan Pagnotta and Debbie Groombridge, sons-in-law Bill Groombridge and Sean Stadey, grandchildren Jaclynn (Michael) Pagnotta, Tommy (Sarah) Stadey, Eric (Brianna) Stadey, great grandchildren Melody and Ivy, as well as her nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored so very much.
Predeceased by her husband Caspar Pagnotta, brother Ronald Russell and sisters Rita (Fred) Danis and Joan (Len) Scarfe, daughter Linda Stadey and niece Della Scarfe.
Funeral services will be held beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2023 in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with Rev. Randy Boyd officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3200 Oliver Road.
