Mrs. Katherine Jane Ferguson-Hill, age 56 years, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospice on Thursday, February 5, 2015 with her family by her side.
Katherine was born on April 9, 1958 in Port Arthur. She was raised and educated locally and received a diploma in Interior Design at Confederation College.
After graduating, she moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba to work in the Interior Design industry. Years later she returned to Thunder Bay to work for the family business, C.A. Ferguson & Sons. She loved to travel and planned many family vacations to Florida, the Caribbean and Western Canada. Since childhood, she travelled annually to Saskatchewan to visit family. She spent much of her later days at home caring for her family and beloved cats.
Katherine will be sadly missed by her husband Kevin Hill; daughters Nicole and Jessica Bajada; mother Adeline Ferguson; brothers Chris (Anita) and David (Heather); in-laws Marion (Tim) and Fred (Teresa); niece Jenessa; nephews Chris, Connor, Bryden, Matthew and Daniel and cats Shady and KitKat.
Katherine was predeceased by her father Chris Ferguson.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Katherine Ferguson-Hill will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 with family and friends gathering in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 am celebrated by Fr. Jerin Louis. Visitation for friends will be held on Monday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with the Vigil Prayers offered at 7:00pm in the Chapel.
