It is with broken hearts that the family of Kathleen Hepp announce her passing on April 17, 2017 in the TBRHSC with family by her side.

Born in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan on March 3, 1924, she was one of 9 children of Theresa and George Prokosh.  At the age of 18 she married the love of her life, Steve Hepp.  Together they moved to Thunder Bay and had 4 children Mervin, Leonard, Donna and Charlene.  Kathleen worked at Can Car during the war.  She then raised her children and worked various jobs and ended her career at the Thunder Bay Library.  Her family was the most special part of her life, especially her grandchildren.  She always loved to play musical instruments and listen to old time country music; it brought her great joy.  She enjoyed retirement with her husband at their Florida vacation home for a few years until she lost Steve in 1999.

Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Leonard (Lise) Hepp, Donna (Rob) Meservia, and Charlene (Tony) Armenti, grandchildren Daniel, Michel, Dale Lynn and Stevan, and great grandchildren Brittany, Taylor, Caitlin and brother Bob Prokosh.  Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Steve, her son Mervin, her mother and father, brothers Ed, Bill, Walter, Art, and Harold and sisters Rosella and Lucille.

A very special thank you to the Bayshore girls, especially Maria and Joy for their care and friendship.  Thanks to all the caring and compassionate nurses of 2C and also a special thank you to Dr. Shack.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 28,2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth’s Church, 766 Sprague Street, with Funeral Mass to be celebrated by Father Rey Ronquillo.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Kay’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
