Kay left us on March 9th, 2015 and began her journey to the loving arms of our Lord. Kay's well-lived life of over 92 years ended peacefully in the company of family and her beloved music.

Kay was born on September 10th, 1922 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. She spent her younger years on the family farm in Saskatchewan, moving to Port Arthur in 1945 where she made a home for her Mom and her brother.

Kay is survived by her sister-in-law Ruth; cousins Bryan Payne of Edmonton, AB (enroute), Brenda Sutherland of Ottawa, ON; niece Betty, nephew Jim and great niece Shawna, all of B.C. Also surviving are members of the Ball family who adopted her as one of their own; as well as her very good friend, shopping/coffee pal, Darlene Tacek.

Kay was predeceased by her parents, James and Mary; sister Joan; and brother Jimmy.

Funeral services for the late Kay Lee will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma, with Rev. Lilian Patey officiating. Interment of cremated remains in the family plot, Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Everest Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are asked to make a donation to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society, the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, St. Paul's United Church, or the charity of their choice.
