Kathleen Mary Bailey, age 94 years, a former longtime resident of Duke Street, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015.
Born in Port Arthur, she attended St. James Public School and Hillcrest High School.
Kay was employed by the Public Utilities Commission and the City of Thunder Bay for 42 years, retiring in 1982. She was active in her church for many years, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Thunder Bay. Kay will always be remembered by her family and friends for being such a special lady and wonderful role model. She was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Margaret Bailey, and by her brothers, Alec and Donald Bailey.
She is survived by her niece, Susan Baca, her nephews Norman, Scott, and Kenneth Bailey as well as by numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
