Kathlyn “Molly” Mary Sully (nee Treffry)

Mrs. Kathlyn “Molly” Mary Sully (nee Treffry), age 102 years, peacefully passed away on June 13, 2022 at Pioneer Ridge her home for the last four and half years.

Molly was born February 20, 1920 in Portsmouth, England, the youngest of six children born to Kate and Arthur Treffry. Molly was a war bride, marrying her first husband, a Canadian with the RAF and later CRAF. Molly then joined the Canadian Army Women’s Corp and served in London during the war. After demobilization she came to Canada to settle in Port Arthur.

During her working life she worked at the Telephone Department, Chronicle Journal and later, in Yellowknife where she moved with her second husband. Part of that time she was a member of the Army Reserves. Molly enjoyed travels with her sister Trix and visiting her in Florida as well as other travels with husband Clare. Molly had a long and eventful life and is now at peace.

She is survived by daughter, Catherine Peterson; son, Philip Morehouse; grandchildren Chris, Jeff, Jason, Sharon and numerous great grandchildren.

Predeceased by parents, siblings, husband Clare Sully, son-in-law Jim Peterson and daughter-in-law Elsa Morehouse.

Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
