Kenneth Edward Maki, aged 82 years, of Bethammi Nursing home (formerly of Leslie Avenue), passed away peacefully on October 26, 2017.

Ken will be sadly missed by his children Karen (Alex) of Toronto, Ken (Kirsten) of Pass Lake, Krista (Kip) of Thunder Bay, and his grandchildren Annika, Heidi & Jaime. Also surviving Ken is his brother Clarence (Ann), and two sisters, Janet and Dorothy all of Thunder Bay, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Florence, brother Vern and sister Florence.

The family would like to sincerely thank the nursing staff at Bethammi for the excellent care and friendship extended to Ken during his time there.

Cremation has taken place, with a private interment to follow at a later date.  As per Ken’s wishes, there will be no service, however we invite family and friends to join us for fellowship and refreshments on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the Penthouse at Bethammi Nursing Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society would be appreciated.
