Kenneth Barry Davis

Posted

Kenneth Barry Davis age 65 died peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021, with his family by his side.

Barry was born in Thunder Bay on July 29, 1956. He enjoyed being with people and his sense of humour was his greatest asset and served him well in nurturing long lasting meaningful relationships through to the very end.

Barry enjoyed being with his family and friends, family gatherings were events in which Barry took much joy in along with hanging out with his best friends. He loved his job at Merla Mae and we are so grateful for the co-workers and Pasquale of course who was more than generous with his time spent with Barry. We are also grateful to Carey who was Barry’s support worker at the Community Living Centre, Carey was counted as a special friend along with Darryl, Sam, Terry, Danny, and Danny F. Barry was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Norma, his brother Lynn, and his sister Margaret Raynard. He is survived by his brothers Jack and sister-in-law Marlene (Thunder Bay), Brian (Calgary), Ted (Thunder Bay) and his sister Donna Strickland (Thunder Bay). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his nephew Craig Davis who was considered one of Barry’s best friends. A life well lived is one in which we do no harm, a lofty challenge that few can master, yet Barry did meet the test every day of his life. He was a kind, generous, humble, and a gentle man who treasured all those he knew.

We would like to thank all the special people at St. Joseph’s Hospice Care and the TBRHSC who cared for Barry. We are so grateful for your kindness and caring support to him and his family.

In keeping with Barry’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A graveside gathering will be held in Fort Frances where Barry will be laid to rest with his parents in Riverview East Cemetery on October 15, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Should friends wish, donations to the TBRHSC- Cancer Centre or to St. Joseph’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.

In every heart he touched,
In every life he changed,
In every thought he inspired,
His love will live forever in our hearts
