Kenneth Pearson
Kenneth John Pearson suddenly passed away on December 8, 2021 in the late afternoon at the age of 61, at his home in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Right from the beginning Ken had a heart of gold. Always caring and standing up for the underdog, his friends were touched by his kindness, humor, and love of sports namely football. After entering the workforce, he went down several paths but found that both his financial background and his technology background seemed to be the perfect combination to steer him in the right direction of where he thought he should be. His love of data and analytics partnered with his passion for what was constantly happening in the world made his last job his favourite. Throughout the years he was always looking for an adventure and loved big city life. The one biggest adventure was when he met Lynn in 1988. It was an umbrella and a twist of fate that they seemed to find everything in common, tying the knot in 1990 in Freeport, Bahamas. Ken and Lynn decided travel was on the menu and they did quite a bit of it! Seven years later came a surprise of a lifetime, actually, two surprises. Taylor and Aidan were born on November 26th, 1997.

Ken was a proud, loving and irreplaceable dad. His ongoing jokes and dry sense of humor would constantly drive them crazy. Taylor has a drive for education and adventure, Aidan is great with people and has a passion for business just like Ken. He was full of unforgettable life advice, cooking tips, and always knew how to pick out the best sweaters. A day never went by that his children couldn’t pick-up the phone and call him out of nowhere and he would always answer. Whether it was something important, like a serious life decision or advice for work, to what kind of meat to buy or how to fix something. His constant renovations always kept everyone in the family on their toes. The family vacations to the east coast, France and everywhere else wouldn’t have been possible without his driving skills, perfect sense of direction and knack for finding the best restaurants. Those family vacations and life advice conversations will be memories that will never be forgotten.

After putting everyone and everything else first, Ken and Lynn were just rounding the corner towards full retirement and were making plans and looking forward to moving out east to enjoy the east coast breeze.

Ken chose to be cremated and although the adventure he was so looking forward to has come to an end, his ashes will be taken out to the east coast in the summer where he will still retire at peace. Celebration of his life will be arranged at a later date.
