It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ken Wilson, aged 81 of Thunder Bay, on May 21st, 2018 at TBRHSC, with family by his side.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1936, Ken immigrated to Canada in 1961 and travelled to many places before setting down in Thunder Bay. A draftsman by trade, he excelled in the design, fabrication and commissioning of many fire protection systems across Canada.

Ken was a man of many talents, but most notably was a piper with the Thunder Bay Police Pipes and Drums. He was an active Mason, a member of the RCL Branch 5 Colour Party and an avid vintage car enthusiast, participating in many rallies with his restored 1973 BMW 2002.

Ken is survived by wife of 6 years, Beverly vanTeeffelen; sons Alistair (Shayna) and Bruce (Vicky) as well as his grandchildren Duke & Lenny. He was predeceased by his parents and daughter Anne.

A Gathering in Ken's honour with light refreshments will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Ken’s memory would be appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
