With broken hearts, the family announces the unexpected passing of Krzysztof Kardacz on March 24, 2023 at the age of 61. Krzysztof was a caring devoted husband, a loving tata, a phenomenal dziadzio, a great father-in-law and a cherished friend. Krzysztof lived life to the fullest, and when he got his mind set on something he wanted to make it happen. He was always there for his family and friends, and loved them dearly. Krzysztof was born to Lidia and Ryszard on September 1, 1961 in Czestochowa, Poland.

He completed a high level of education in Poland before immigrating to Canada in 1983. He worked at many different places until he found his true passion to become an Electrician. He started his Electrical Apprentice at Confederation College in 1991, and later completed his Masters Electrician. He spent a majority of his time working for I.B.E.W Local 402 and Buchanan Northern Hardwoods where he met a few of his life- long friends.

Krzysztof met the love of his life Bozena in 1987. Together they built a beautiful life, including renovating multiple homes and finally building their dream home. Their daughter Cassandra was born in 1989 and with her he found one of his greatest joys. He was an amazing father, role model and always wanted to teach her everything. He could not have been happier when she then married Greg and gave him his second greatest joy, Vincent becoming Dziadzio. His grandson Vincent was the apple of his eye and spending time with him brought a smile to his face that we had never seen before.

Krzysztof was an amazing husband, father, dziadzio, and friend. He had the biggest heart, kind soul and was a very hard worker.

He loved spending time with his family, and making lots of memories together. He was a man of many surprises. Some of his biggest hobbies included fishing, camping, and woodworking.

Krzysztof will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife Bozena; daughter Cassandra (Greg) Filograna; grandson Vincent; his brother Darek (Alina) Kardacz and their children as well as siblings and extended family in Poland. He will also be remembered by his best friends Julian (Julia) Dolasinski and their family; Jacek (Joanna) Osada and their boys Edziu and Jonathan; friends Joe Deleo, Paul Roberts and family; the Ward family, Scott Chuckrey and his morning coffee friends. Krzysztof will be dearly missed by his close friend Father Henryk Augustynowicz, as well as many other close friends he has made throughout the years.

He was predeceased by his parents Lidia and Ryszard and sister Mariola Kardacz.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses of the TBRHSC- 3C for their care and support during this difficult time.

Services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 leaving the Harbourview Funeral Centre at 10:30 a.m. to St. Mary’s Our Lady Queen of Poland Church where the funeral Mass will be con-celebrated by Father Piotr Dudek and Father Henryk Augustynowicz at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
