Kyler Cecil Ackewance (Daa’yaa: To be of everything and anything), Born October 17, 1992, in Sioux Lookout, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Lac Seul July 1, 2025.
Kyler was loved by all. He was a proud member of Lac Seul and he loved to represent his community at hockey tournaments, his passion for hockey started by the time he was 2. It took him all over Canada, the United States and Finland where at 15 he was one of two players selected to represent Canada at the International Ice Hockey Federation. He also loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting with his dad and friends. His sense of humour was infectious and his pranks at times annoying will now be remembered fondly.
He had a great love for his family and friends and a wonderful sense of humour. He is survived by his parents Andrea and Eric (Hilda), Grandmother: Agnes, siblings: Kelsey, Kent, Christopher, April, Jeff, Jordan and Keanna. Aunts and Uncles: Bernice (Jerry), Isobel (Al), Joanne, Pauline, Lorna, Colleen, Bev (Mark). Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and countless friends that he considered family.
