It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Lana Christine Tycholiz, age 67, of Thunder Bay. Lana passed away suddenly after spending the day doing what she loved most, laughing and playing on the beach with our camp family at Arrow Lake. Born April 27, 1951 and raised in Sault Ste. Marie.

Lana is predeceased by her parents Alice (Schoen) and Gene Pagliaro. Lana will be very sadly missed by her husband Leo of 46 years, and her four children, Sarah Tycholiz of Thunder Bay, Natasha Morris (Dave) of Orangeville, ON, Benjamin Tycholiz also of Thunder Bay, Matthew Tycholiz of Costa Rica and 10 precious grandchildren who loved their Nana to the moon and back. Lana was also loving sister to Louis Pagliaro (Diane) of Troutman, N.C., Larry Pagliaro (Marg) of Port Perry, ON, Nancy Steinke (Rob) of Massey, ON, Linda Pagliaro of Gatineau, Quebec and Rebecca Hansler (Brian) of Holland Landing, ON. Lana was also loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by so many friends that considered her family. She was a loving “Mom” to so many.

Funeral service will be held at Blake Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation will be appreciated.

“A thousand words won’t bring you back, I know because I’ve tried. Neither will a thousand tears, I know because I’ve cried. I’ll see you on the other side of the stars.”

Lana Tycholiz will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
