Larrie passed away peacefully on July 6, 2017 with family by his side. Born in Port Arthur May 9, 1944.

Larrie was a proud member of the IBEW electrical union from high school graduation through to his retirement working in the industrial sector at every paper mill, sawmill, and plywood mill in the region in addition to a number of commercial and institutional projects. He was quick to remind the nurses during his recent stay in hospital that he wired the TBRHSC with some help of course.

All his life he was ready and more than willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends no matter the project. In addition, he had a special ability to solve the darnedest structural, mechanical or electrical problem with a great deal of pleasure. He has always been our go-to mister fix-it guy.

In his younger years, Larrie (Scooter) found great pleasure getting together with his buddies for a day or weekend of snowmobiling, boating, fishing or hunting at their “secret” spots in NWO.

After retirement, he looked forward too and enjoyed beyond words his extended trips to Edmonton to visit his sister and her family.

Larrie is survived by: his sister Lynda (John) Sandmoen and their children Ken (Jen), Jeffrey, Gregory and Jacquelyn (Kevin); his brother David (Brenda) and their children Lesley (Chris) and Susan.

Larrie was predeceased by his father Albert and mother Elinor.

As per Larrie's wishes, there will be no service.
