Mr. Larry Loveday, age 66 years, passed away with family by his side at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, August 23, 2018. 

Larry was born on August 2, 1952 in Port Arthur, Ontario. Following in his father’s footsteps, he started work in the shipping department of Powell Equipment then completed his apprenticeship as a heavy equipment mechanic. After many years of field service he became a foreman, moved to sales, and then retired at 65. His favourite activities included cheering on his Maple Leafs, fishing with his best buddy Ben, camping, and hunting. He loved music, playing the guitar and recently learned to play the ukulele. The most important thing in his life was spending time with his family and friends.

Larry will be sadly missed and remembered by his loving wife Debbie of 44 years, daughters Jennifer (Glen) and Joanne (Emily), his grandson Ben, brother Jamie (Lorna), sister Leanne (Terry), sister-in-law Donna-Lynne (Bob), as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Larry was predeceased by his father Thomas, mother Joyce, brother Billy, father-in-law Murray, and mother-in-law Lorraine.

A memorial service for Larry will take place on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Harbourview Funeral Centre presided by Rev. Ed Long. Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service time. If family and friends so desire, donations may be made in Larry’s memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
