Leona Lucienne Legros, age 62, passed away suddenly at home on May 8, 2022, when she was called to heaven to spend Mother’s Day with her Mom.
She was predeceased by her parents, Noella and Raoul Legros, her sister Lucy and husband Marty Ranta, her sister Adele Bevan, and brother Roger Legros. Leona will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Byron, her sister Claudette MacGrath (Gary), brothers, Aime (Gayle), Henry (Sandra), Archie (Linda), Louis (Shirley), numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved feline friend Molly.
Leona was born on July 26, 1959, in Port Arthur, Ontario, and was raised in Ellis, Ontario. Most of her adult life was spent in Thunder Bay where she raised her son Byron and made her mark in various occupations. One of her favorite was working in landscaping as she loved being outdoors and gardening. Throughout her life feline friends were a constant joy. Leona was fun loving with a big heart and made friends easily. Even through life’s challenges she always stayed strong and shared a smile and a laugh.

She is resting at Jenkens Funeral Home with cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
