SZELEKOVSZKY, Leslie (Laci) Eugene – June 27, 1937 – November 22, 2017.

Peacefully at home, in the Lord’s perfect timing, He took Leslie home to Himself at the age of 80 years.

Les will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Marian; children Susan (Ron) Matthews, Joanne Bohnet, Diana Unger, all from Edmonton, and Dorothy (Patrick) Wilkins, of Kelowna; daughter-in-law Debby VanIperen from Lacombe.  Les also leaves behind six wonderful grandchildren:  Steven (Jessica) Szelekovszky, Michael Szelekovszky, Philip Szelekovszky, Hannah VanIperen, John VanIperen, and Kristopher Bohnet; his sister, Anna Vaski, brother Frank Krim, cousins, Steve (Carolle) Krim, and Eva (Ralph) Varga. 

He also leaves his dear aunt and uncle, Laci and Eva Sarvari.  Les will also be greatly missed by many other extended family and his dearest friends Bruce and Debby Vanderwees and their children, Ryan and Bailey for whom Les was their Hungarian opa.   He is already much missed by his faithful shelties Enya and Haylee.

Les was predeceased by his mother and his first wife, Ria, in 1969, and sons Joseph Szelekovszky (1986) and Peter Szelekovszky (1996).

Friends will be received at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 1315 Crawford Street, on Friday, December 1st from 7:00-8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd at Hope Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Robert Hoekstra officiating. Memorial donations will be gratefully received for Thunder Bay Christian School or The Gathering Place. In Christ we shall rise! We shall meet again!
