It is with great sadness and broken hearts, the family of Lillie Torkkeli announces her passing on Thursday, September 21st at Hogarth Riverview Manor.
She is survived by her loving husband Leo of 49 years, her children Alan (Linda), Lillian (Frank), Ken (Marcy), Lyle, Willy, Darlene, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Anna and Matti Kaartinen, sister Tuulikki and daughter Wilma. Lillie was born and raised in South Gillies and devoted her life to her family.
She will be profoundly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
