Linda Arseneau (nee Long)

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Arseneau (nee Long) on June 8, 2021 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center. She was born on June 24, 1944 in Fort William to Donald and Irene Long.

Linda was a graduate of the McKellar General Hospital School of Nursing and spent her nursing career working at McKellar Hospital and Hogarth Westmount Hospital. She loved going to camp at McKenzie Beach, gardening, golfing, and taking care of her family and her cats.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Guy Arseneau, her 3 children Barbara (David) Dubois, John Hyslop (Racqucel), Donna Hyslop (Jay), as well her 4 children by marriage Camille (Karen) Arseneau, Lise (Micheal) Lee, Marc Arseneau (Shawna), and Rick (Nicki) Arseneau. Her blended family includes 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Donald (Alwyn) Long, 3 nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private family service will be held with internment at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to a charity of choice.

The family wishes to thank the incredible nurses and staff in ICU for their loving care.
