Linda McIntosh, age 73 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28, 2022 at TBRHSC.

Linda provided daycare for many years through the City of Thunder Bay and worked the winter slide concession at Chippewa Park. She volunteered at the original Pinewood Court on James Street along with her mother, and at the Therapeutic Riding monthly pancake breakfasts. She was an accomplished artist and showed her paintings at the 55+ Centre Art Shows. She especially enjoyed the “retreats” with her craft group. She was an avid knitter and had recently taken up sewing again for her great-grandchildren. Her coffee group was very important to her and she enjoyed bantering with the “boys” at Bay Village. Road trips were high on her list of priorities. Trips to visit family in the Sault Ste. Marie area and to Florida for a few winters - she was always ready to hit the road.

Linda is survived by her son Colby and daughter Eileen, and their father, Dwight; grandchildren Brittany (Zach) and Brayden (Cass) and 2 great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Paisley; brother Jerome (Carol) and family; and her extended family of cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents Fern and Jerome Bannon Sr., and her grandchildren’s father, Jeff.

Thank you to nurse, Candace and the staff and physicians at TBRHSC for your amazing care. Thank you to all of Linda’s friends for your love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore at James. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or to TBRHSC Foundation.
