Linda Penasie

Miss Linda Jane Penasie, age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 16th, 2023. She was born in Fort William, April 7th, 1950.

Linda was a mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved knitting, cooking, going out with the girls for a dance and seeing her grandkids whom she loved so dearly. She finished her schooling and received her diploma from Confederation College in her later years and was proud of her accomplishments. She loved spending time out at the lake in Upsala and heading out to Raith. She had a contagious laugh that would often spread and a smile that won’t soon be forgotten.

She will be missed by her sons, Kaarlo Nevala (Erica), Leo Nevala, her brothers Ronnie Penasie, Danny Penasie(Margaret) and sister Julie Vacca(Norman). She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Who she would often talk, smile and share stories with.

She was predeceased by her Mother, Amelia Penasie and her father Martin Ward. Her son Richard Nevala and her daughter Liisa Nevala. As well as her sister Theresa Vacca (Joe). As well as many others whom she cared about that will meet her on the other side.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Lakehead Manor for their care and compassion during her final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jenkens Funeral Home at 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January, 25, 2023.
