The family of Linnea Sylvia Niemi of Nolalu sadly announces her passing on September 22, 2015 at TBRHSC.
She was born June 17, 1928 growing up in Kivikoski. She enjoyed her flowers, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and knitting.
She is survived by son Harvey (Linda); daughter Judy Tienhaara (Bobby); grandchildren Donna (Jim), Darren (Dolly), Russell (Lisa) and Tracy (Joey); nine great grandchildren; sisters Shirley (Brian), Helen (Eddie) and Irene and nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband Eugene (Charlie), son Gary, parents Naina and Emil Blixt, brother Alfred and sister Anita. We would like to thank the Nolalu First Response and the nurses and doctors on 2C who were amazing with mom. Also to Audra Shaw for being such a good supportive friend to Donna.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kakabeka Legion, Hwy. 17, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
