It is with deep sorrow Patricia, Patrick and Debbie announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many; a person with innate talents and wisdom.

A skilled craftsman, tradesman; in 1961 he was proud to join a 4th generation as journeyman carpenter to the Carpenter's Local Union. With a creative hand he completed varied carpentry projects. He was a millwright by trade but was creative and inventive and could manage a project that crossed all trades. He was also a fantastic cabinet maker. He gained the name “Putty Knife” on a job in Bastrop, Louisiana when there were no feeler gauges available; he manufactured what was needed from a putty knife from a local hardware store. When his family visited Bastrop they were greeted by a huge sign reading “Welcome Putty Knife and Family!”

He was employed for over thirty years as a Superintendent/Estimator under EKT 90 Inc. working nationally and internationally as an overseer for industrial installation projects in Louisiana, New York, Mississippi and Romania. He was dedicated to these tasks, to meet completion dates, steady, objective, clear about the law of safety and very focused. He applied excellent job preparation, a full understanding of potential ventures. Surrounding himself with skilled trades people was his proven effective strategy.

The unrelenting draw to LOT 7 WAWEIG LAKE RETREAT became his peaceful special sanctuary where he found complete relaxation surrounded by friends and family. It's where he wanted to be and ultimately life's journeys peaceful end.

Lloyd will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his spouse, Patricia of 59 years, son Patrick, daughter Debbie (Jim Menard) grandson Ike, siblings Jeanette, Ken (Lucille Bisson) Patricia (Murray Ross) and numerous family connections. He will live forever in the memories of all of us who loved him.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Lloyd's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Honouring his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will select a future date for dispersing of ashes.
