Lorrieanne Zoe Lester (Lesperance) unexpectedly passed away at the age of 56 on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side.

Prior to becoming a full time wife, mother and grandmother to her beloved granddaughters Chase and Hailey, Lorrieanne worked in various short term jobs and projects before becoming a Welfare Administrator and membership administrator where she worked for many, many years on her home reserve of Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinabek.

Lorrieanne enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She spent time happily beading and making crafts. She also enjoyed playing dice, cards and going to play bingo with her husband Melvin. Lorrieanne was an active member of the Thunder Bay Indian Friendship where she enjoyed the Elders group and where she and her husband met many friends.

Lorrieanne will be sadly missed by her husband of 32 years Melvin Lester, her son Preston (Erica) Lester and her daughter Lisa Lester- Beaulieu (Lissa) and granddaughters Chase and Hailey Lester, her sisters Phyllis (Eugene) Michon, Caroline (James) Hardy and Marlene Lesperance, her brothers Douglas, Dennis Jr. (Valda)  Lesperance and Reginald (Deb) Legarde as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.

Lorrieanne was predeceased by her parents Dennis Sr. and Lucy Lesperance, her brothers Christopher, Albert, Victor and Ernest Lesperance and her sister Denise Bouchard.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street officiated by Rev. Victor Pelletier. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association.
